1. Who we are and acceptance
Boardrift is a snow racing game with progression, pets and events, developed and maintained by MAFFRA ENTERTAINMENT LTDA (CNPJ 69.676.776/0001-22), headquartered in Goiânia, Goiás, Brazil. By creating an account or playing, you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy. The game records the date and version you accepted and asks for a new acceptance whenever there is an important change.
2. Online game and required account
Boardrift is free and only works with an internet connection and an account. The account is created with an email and password, in the game or at boardrift.com.br/conta, and it is the same on every platform. Progress, balances, items and pets are saved on our server, not only on the device.
- You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for the use of your account.
- Your nickname cannot be offensive or misleading, or contain contact details.
- An account is personal: selling, lending or transferring accounts is not allowed.
3. Who can play
The age rating is 10+. When the account is created, the game asks for an age range (under 16, or 16 and over) to apply protections for children and teenagers. Players under 18 should play with the knowledge of their parents or guardians, who can follow the account, request deletion of the data and set up the parental controls of the devices and stores.
4. Coins, gems, carrots and items
Coins, gems, carrots, boards, hats, outfits, armor, pets, the Pass and the Subscription benefits are licenses for use inside the game. They have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for money, sold or transferred to another account.
- Coins are earned by playing. Gems are earned through rewards and leveling up, and can be purchased.
- Upgrades can be bought with coins or gems, as shown in the store. This applies to run upgrades (magnet, shield, bag, tricks and the Giant Snowball, Glider and Rift Focus powers), to pet armor and to carrot packs.
- Pet armor: rare (15,000 coins) and epic (48,000 coins), in that order; legendary armor is sold only for gems (2,000).
- Carrot packs: 50 carrots for 120 gems and 150 carrots for 300 gems. Carrots are used to adopt and feed pets and fill the power bar during the run.
- Gems can also pay to continue a run.
- Boards, hats and outfits change appearance. Some exclusive sets give a coin bonus at the end of the run, never a speed bonus.
- The price and effect of each item are shown before you confirm.
If a bug grants coins, gems, items or rewards by mistake, or shows a wrong price, we may correct the balance or remove what was received improperly. Items from a valid purchase are not removed for this reason.
5. Pets and powers
Pets are adopted at the Den and level up to 10. At level 4 each pet gains an automatic power (Zigzag, Aurora Light, Headbutt, Back Kick, Blue Toboggan, Owl Eye); Draco gives +15% coins, also in Inferno mode, and the Shadow Bat brings the Echolocation pack. The effects and numbers of each power are shown in the game and may be adjusted to balance the run.
6. Purchases with money
Purchases are optional. When available on your platform, they are processed by the App Store, Google Play or the payment method shown on the purchase screen, which follow their own payment and refund rules. The price is always shown before you confirm. One-time purchases, including the Pass, are charged only once.
The Subscription is monthly and renews automatically until it is canceled in the store’s subscription settings. Canceling prevents the next charge, and the benefits continue until the end of the paid period. Deleting the account or uninstalling the game does not cancel the Subscription.
Players under 18 may only make purchases with the authorization of their parents or guardians. Purchases charged back after being used, or made by fraudulent means, may have their items removed and, in case of fraud, lead to account suspension. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code, including the right of withdrawal where applicable.
7. Founder Packs
The Founder Packs (Caretaker, Season and Legend) are sold only on the boardrift.com.br website and only during the launch period stated on the sales page. Each pack can be bought only once per account and is valid on the same account on PC and mobile.
- The contents and price of each pack are shown before you confirm. Payment is processed by the provider shown on the purchase screen, and the pack is delivered to the account only after the server confirms the payment.
- The Founder items and the titles "Founder Caretaker", "Founder Season" and "Founder Legend" are exclusive and will not return to sale after launch. If an account has more than one pack, the highest title is shown.
- No pack includes legendary pet armor, which remains sold only for gems.
- Refund: you may withdraw from the purchase within 7 days (art. 49 of the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code), as long as the pack’s gems have not been used. On refund, the pack, items, badge and title are removed from the account.
- Name in the credits (Legend only): the player chooses the name once, with up to 24 characters. The name goes through a filter and Maffra Entertainment’s approval, and only appears after it is approved. Names that are offensive, misleading, contain contact details or violate third-party rights are rejected, and the player can choose another one.
8. Nivor Challenge and rewards
The game has no loot boxes or random draws: the rewards from the daily chest, missions, progression and events are fixed and known in advance.
The Nivor Challenge is the weekend event (Friday to Sunday, Brasília time), included in the Subscription. Before the fight, you choose the piece you want to win: the Shadow Set outfit, the scarf or helmet, the Shadow Board or the Shadow Bat pet. Each win fills 20% of the chosen piece, and with 5 wins it is yours. A loss does not fill the bar. Progress is saved on the account, is not sold and cannot be bought.
9. Chat, ranking, leagues and seasons
The chat only uses preset phrases and emojis: there is no free text, private messages, links, photos or contact sharing. It can be turned off in Settings. You can report and block players; abusive use may lead to muting, a chat ban or account suspension.
The nickname and scores of those who take part in the ranking, leagues and seasons are visible to other players. Rewards are in-game items, paid once per period, and never money.
10. Fair play
Every run is checked by the server. Cheats, bots, modifying the game, deliberately exploiting bugs, manipulating the ranking or accessing other players’ accounts are not allowed. Impossible or suspicious runs may be discarded and reviewed, and have their rewards removed.
11. Suspension and termination
Violations of these Terms may proportionally lead to a warning, muting, removal of rewards, suspension or termination of the account. Whenever possible, we tell you the reason and you can contest it through the contact email. You can delete your account at any time in the game (Settings → Account → Delete account) or at boardrift.com.br/conta.
12. Availability and changes to the game
The game may go through maintenance, updates and balance adjustments, and features may be changed or removed. If the game is shut down, we will give at least 30 days’ notice and purchases will be suspended during that period, without prejudice to the rights under the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code.
13. Intellectual property
Boardrift, Rift, Nivor, the pets, the Boardrift and Maffra Entertainment brands, the code, art, 3D models, animations, music and texts belong to Maffra Entertainment and are protected by Brazilian Laws 9,610/1998, 9,609/1998 and 9,279/1996. You receive a personal, limited, revocable and non-transferable license to play. You may not copy, extract files, distribute, sell, reverse engineer (except within the limits of the law), use the content to train artificial intelligence or use our brands without written authorization.
14. Liability
We work to make the game run well, but we do not guarantee it will always be available or free of bugs. We are not responsible for problems caused by the player’s device, connection or third-party services, within the limits of the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Important changes will be announced in the game and on the website, and the game will ask for a new acceptance before you continue.
16. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. The courts of the consumer’s domicile have jurisdiction.
